This is facilitated by the Inter-Agency and Expert Group on Sustainable Development Goal Indicators (IAEG-SDGs) which is currently holding an open consultation until 15^th August 2024.  The IAEG-SDG will prepare the final proposal for the 2025 review and submit it to the Commission for its consideration at the fifty-sixth session in March 2025.  The geometric mean is still used for UHC SCI, but to better represent the population covered by a service, the tracers are weighted based on the denominator population (where available). Definitions of family planning are tweaked to to “demand satisfied with modern method among women of reproductive age (15-49) years” (%) and for HWF density to measure “Physicians, nursing and midwifery personnel”. For diabetes the new indicator would be Coverage of treatment (taking medication) for diabetes among adults aged 30 years and over with diabetes (age-standardised estimate) (%)”. If these changes are carried out, the current baseline readings will also change.
