Samir Garg is currently Health Workforce Policy Expert Working in Asia-Pacific Regional office of World Health Organisation. From 2008 to 2023 he served in the leadership of the State Health Resource Centre Chhattisgarh, rising to become its director from 2019 onwards. He did his Ph.D. in Health Systems Studies from the School of Health Systems Studies in the Tata Insitute of Social Sciences. His post-graduation is in Business Administration from Institute of Rural Management, Anand. He has a significant number of publications in the area of health systems strengthening and health financing and workforce management, and extensive experience in both health policy and its implementation.
